FDA to Stop and Recall Sales
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety suspended sales and took measures to recover after detecting a large amount of antibiotic-free milk and metallic foreign substances that exceeded the standard.
On the 19th, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety) ordered the recall of “Dr.Omega-free omega 3 milk” products manufactured by livestock processing company Greengrass Bio Co., Ltd. (Chungbuk Chungju).
The product is marked by June 12th, the manufacturing date (bar code number 8809605121569), and is sold in two capacities: 180ml and 750ml.
The packaging material is white, and on the surface, promotional phrases such as “WHO Recommendation Omega Golden Ratio” and “Top-class crude oil Grade 1 A” and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs’ mark certifying antibiotics-free are drawn.
On the same day, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety suspended the sale and took measures to recover the “baked dried filefish” product manufactured and sold by Badawon Co., Ltd. because metallic foreign substances exceeding the standard were detected.
The recovery target is a product whose expiration date is marked as March 6, 2024 (bar code number 8809012611592), and the packaging unit is 200g. The date of manufacture has not been confirmed.
An official from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said, “Sellers who store recovered food should stop selling and return it to the recovery operator,” adding, “Consumers who have already purchased the product should stop consuming it and contact the customer center indicated on the product or return it to the place of purchase.”
Products suspected of being defective or witnessing food safety-related misconduct may be reported to the Defective Food Report Phone 1399.
Earlier on the 8th, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety decided to stop selling preservatives (preservatives) that exceeded the standard level in pickled radish for egg rice distributed on the market.
