Police launched an investigation after a couple was found dead in an apartment in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
The Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul was dispatched after receiving a resident report at 5:50 a.m. on the 20th and found A’s body in a flower bed in the apartment.
The police later forcibly opened the door of A’s home with a fire official who was dispatched to identify A’s wife’s body.
A suicide note left by her husband was found at the scene, and no bloodstains or weapons were reportedly found.
The police are investigating the possibility that the husband killed his wife and made an extreme choice, and will examine the body to find out how he died.
A police official said, “We are still conducting an on-site inspection to find out the specific circumstances, including the cause of death.”
