Instructor Hyun Woo-jin criticizes the exclusion policy of “killer questions.”
Jeon Yeo-ok “The instructors at work are incitement to greed.”
When Hyun Woo-jin, a famous CSAT math instructor, criticized the government’s announcement to exclude “killer questions” outside the scope of public education, Jeon Yeo-ok said, “If you feel sorry for the children, give them private tutoring.”
On the 20th, Jeon posted a message on his blog scolding Hyun Woo-jin under the title “Hyun Woo-jin, is it Jung Woo-sung?”
Former lawmaker Jeon pointed out that the instructors who criticized the government’s policy as “an incitement of greed,” saying, “President Yoon Suk Yeol’s ‘NO killer question’ is really right.”
“What’s full of energy means ‘I feel sorry for the children,'” he said. “If you feel so sorry for the children, give private tutoring for killer questions 24 hours a day, and distribute the workbook free of charge.”
He then said, “Why should there be killer questions?” and “It’s okay to cover the basics of understanding college lectures,” adding, “If you feel sorry for real children, let’s stop asking killer questions.”
Earlier on the 17th, Hyun Woo-jin posted an article on his social networking service (SNS) saying, “The president reprimanded the public education CSAT policy for not being implemented in the June mock evaluation,” and “I feel sorry for the children,” and “How does September (simulated evaluation) and the CSAT go?”
“As I say every time, the CSAT is independent in June and September (simulated evaluation), so we have to prepare for all scenarios because we can’t figure out what will be more difficult,” he said. “We must take care of EBS and solve it.”
He added, “Critical thinking is important, but at least open your mind to non-critical thinking that everything can come out in the test.”
In addition to Hyun, many instructors voiced concern and criticism over the government’s policy related to the CSAT.
However, it was re-examined that they were enjoying a luxurious life through SNS in the past, and the public responded coldly, such as, “Is it because you’re afraid you’ll get cut off?”
